Travel documents

In order to have a convenient flight itinerary and avoid problems arising in the process of check-in as well as immigration, passengers need to prepare all kinds of travel documents as below.

 (Pursuant to Appendix XIV Documents on identity, tickets, boarding passes, issued together with Circular 13/2019 / TT-BGTVT dated March 29, 2019 of the Minister of Transport and OL No. 3982 / CHK-ANHK dated September 13, 2019 on the implementation of the passenger documents of the Circular No. 13/2019 / TT-BGTVT)

I. Domestic flights in Vietnam:

1. Passengers from 14 years old and above:

o Vietnamese nationality:

One of the following documents must be presented:

+ Passport, visa, permanent residence card, temporary residence card, identity card, citizen’s identity card;

+ ID cards;

+ National Assembly deputies card;

+ Party member card;

+ Journalist card;

+ License car and motorcycles;

+ Card of the National Civil Aviation Security Committee;

+ Airport security control card with long-term validity;

+ Identification card of Pacific Airlines;

+ Identification certificate certified by the police of the ward or commune where he / she permanently resides or temporarily resides (the certificate shows the following information: certifying body, certifying person; date of certification; Full name, date of birth, sex, country and permanent residence of the verified person; reason for confirmation. The certificate has photo, stamp and is valid only within 30 days from the date of confirmation);

+ A certificate of the competent authority certifying the passenger is the person who has just served the judgment.

o Foreign nationality:

One of the following documents must be presented:

+ Foreign passport or visa;

+ ID cards issued by diplomatic missions or consular offices to members of diplomatic missions, consular offices, representative offices of international organizations;

+ Permanent residence card, temporary residence card;

+ License car and motorcycles;

+ Airport and airport security control card with long-term validity;

+ Identification card of Pacific Airlines.

+ In case passengers lose their passport, there must be a note of the diplomatic or consular post of the nationality of the passenger or the official letter of the Department of Foreign Affairs (certified by the local police station of the place of death) confirm the passenger’s identity and the loss of passport, with photos and stamps on. The certification note is valid for 30 days from the date of confirmation;

2. Passengers under 14 years old who do not have their own passports or accompany their parents’ passports when check-in:

One of the following documents must be presented:

a) Day of birth certificate; in case of under 1 month of age, a birth certificate is required;

b) Certificate of the social organization for the child raised by the social organization (valid only for 6 months from the date of certification).

3. The passenger is an inmate, the accused, the person being removed, extradited or deported

Only need to present documents from the competent authority proving the escort; the escort passenger presents the documents specified in Section 1.

4. Travel documents used when traveling in an aircraft specified in Sections 1, 2 and 3 must satisfy the following conditions:

a) Be the original and still valid for use;

b) Date of birth certificate, the birth certificate must be the original or an authenticated copy as prescribed by law;

c) Do not accept the papers specified in Clauses 1, 2, 3, 4 of this Appendix if the papers do not have photos or photos that are not in accordance with the law, except for birth certificates, birth certificates, papers of the agency. has the authority to prove escort.

5. Air ticket and boarding pass:

Passengers check- in on flights operated by Pacific Airlines must present their ticket and boarding pass issued by Pacific Airlines. Ticket and boarding pass will show the following information:

a) Ticket number;

b) Full name of the passenger;

c) Flight number;

d) Flight route;

đ) Code of each passenger.

II. International flights:

– Passengers who check-in on international flights must present their passport or travel document or that are valid for entry and exit according to the provisions of law such as separate visa, permanent residence card. , temporary residence card, citizen’s identity card (if Vietnam and the relevant country sign a treaty or international agreement allowing citizens of the signatory country to use citizenship cards instead of using passports In each other’s territories, hereinafter referred to as papers that are valid for entry and exit according to regulations, the validity period of passports depends on the regulations of each country where the visitor comes from. guests must remain valid for at least 6 months after the date of entry to a country);

– In case the child does not have a separate passport, the child’s full name, date of birth and the child’s photo shall be recorded and pasted in the passport of the legal representative, including: natural father, natural mother, father adoption, adoptive mother or guardian.

*Note: According to Point b, Clause 2, Article 25 of Decree No. 162/2018 / ND-CP dated November 30th, 2018 stipulating the Penalties for administrative violations in the civil aviation, everyone who use fake identity documents, boarding pass or identity documents, tickets, boarding pass bearing someone else’s name into quarantine, boarding the aircraft or allowing minors to enter the quarantine area, will be fine from 3,000,000 VND to 5,000,000 VND.
